Looking to have your carpets and/or upholstery cleaned? Here is what to expect from Legacy Carpet Service...

Consultation
We will have a conversation about your carpet and upholstery cleaning needs.
During this conversation we will identify:
- Room or rooms you wish to have cleaned
- Problem areas you may have (general stains, pet stains, high traffic areas, etc.)
- The best day and time for us both to schedule your cleaning
Preparing for your Cleaning Day:
Many clients ask, "what do I need to do before you arrive?" So we have created this list to help you prepare your space for cleaning before we arrive. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please give us a call at 605-409-8577.
Moving any antiques or valuable pieces before we arrive will help ensure we are able to start right away.
If you have any larger pieces you are unable to move please let us know so we can make a plan to clean around them or assist in moving them.
Please pick up any loose items such as toys, baskets, etc.
We will vacuum when we arrive so you do not need to worry about this.
We use commercial grade equipment that requires a connection to a water source. This is typically an outdoor water spigot but can connect to an indoor faucet as well.

Cleaning Day
We will arrive ready to get started, and will begin by:
- Walking through your home with you
- Locating and treating problem spots
- Identifying high traffic areas

While We are There:
If you have any questions that are not answered below, please give me a call at 605-409-8577.
We use a truck mount hot water extraction cleaning system, which is the #1 method of cleaning recommended by carpet manufacturers.
Traditionally, truck mount carpet cleaning machines are more powerful than portable cleaning units.
Also, truck mounts do not use your electricity or hot water as the unit is fitted with a heat exchanger to heat water up through the exhaust manifold system. Therefore, there is no added cost to the customers electric or gas bills after we’ve left the property.
If you have any questions or would like more information give us a call at 605-409-8577, we will be happy to address any questions you have.
Make sure your pets have a comfortable place to hang out away from the cleaning area, as we don't want to scare them with our equipment.
The door or window equipment comes through will be open a few inches during cleaning.
Move vehicle if you plan to leave while we are cleaning so you can leave when you need to.

Post Care
Your carpet and upholstery will be almost dry before we leave. This is just one of the many benefits of the equipment we use. There are a few things we recommend you do to best care for your carpet after cleaning
Post Care Recommendations:
- Wait for the carpet to be completely dry before moving furniture back.
We recommend waiting until the next day if possible. In some cases I’ll put the furniture on tabs, if this is the case the furniture can be moved back to carpet immediately. - Minimize foot traffic.
This will allow the carpet nap to set properly extending the life of your carpet. - Help carpet dry completely.
Turn on ceiling fans and wall fans, and have the air in your home set between 68-70 degrees with the fan turned to "on". This will help the carpet dry properly and quickly.
